Day 1-Depart to Overnight stop
Depart from Florence and head to your overnight stop. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 2-Depart for Maine
Following breakfast, check out and continue traveling to Maine. Upon arrival check into the hotel on the southern coast of Maine, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 3-Portland, Oregon
Today meet your guide for a narrated sightseeing tour of Portland, including Portland Headlight and Victoria Mansion. You will view the boyhood home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the restored Old Port Exchange and have a breathtaking view of Casco Bay. In the afternoon, you will sit back and relax on a local charter boat for a narrated cruise on Casco Bay through Calendar Islands and pass Portland Head, Ram Island, Halfway Rock, Spring Point, and Bug Lighthouses. After the cruise, spend some time in the Perkins Cove area near your hotel. Tonight enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening enjoying the amenities at the resort.
Day 4-Maine
Today depart for your ride to the picturesque village of Booth Bay Harbor. Enroute to Booth Bay, you will visit Ertha, the revolving and rotating globe. You will also travel through the quaint towns of Brunswick, Bath, and Wiscasset. In Booth Bay, you will meet your guide for a tour of the area, afterwards you will have free time to browse and shop along the Picturesque waterfront which has refrained the atmosphere of an old New England village. Booth Bay Harbor features brick sidewalks lined with unique shops lined with hand crafted goods, maritime gifts, antiques and art galleries. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the waterfront cafes, or just sit back and watch the harbors activities. Later, you will stop at LL Bean and the Factory Outlets for some bargain hunting. You will also visit the Nubble Lighthouse before returning to your lodging. Enjoy the lobsterbake dinner this evening at a local restaurant.
Day 5-Kennebunkport
Depart for a tour of Kennebunkport, which includes Walkers Point, the Bush Family Compound. The property has been a family retreat for more than a century. The estate was first purchased by a St. Louis Banker, George H. Walker in the late 19th century, who built the mansion in 1903. Kennebunkport has been a favorite among artist and writers and features numerous art galleries, craft shops, restored mansions and boutiques. In the afternoon, return to Portland for a 2 hour culinary walking tour. Begin the historic downtown area at Union & Wharf streets where you will enjoy a lobster roll and beverage at your first stop. From here, continue on your tour where you're next stop allows you to sample some chowder. Walking along the waterfront, you will hear the history of the area while enjoying truffles along the way. Later, its all aboard the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad for a 40 minute train ride on historic railcars with a view of the Portland waterfront along beautiful Casco Bay. Once again, a delicious dinner has been arranged for you this evening.
Day 6-Depart for your overnight stop
Check out and depart for your overnight stop. Dinner will be on your own in the area.
Day 7-Depart for home
Depart for home with wonderful memories of Maine & Portland.
